The world’s first digital camera

In 1975, Stephen Sasson (July 4, 1950) at Eastman Kodak, designed and built the world’s first digital camera. The camera was impressive in size and weighed 3.6 kg. It had a resolution of only 100 × 100 (0.01 megapixels). The image was recorded on a tape cassette. The first photograph was taken by Joey, Stephen’s laboratory assistant in December 1975 and has not survived to this day (from the site https://demoniks.wordpress.com/).
