The book presents the greatest places of all five world continents. Each of the parts of the world presented in the book is accompanied by descriptions and colorful photographs. These photographs were selected from the archives of the National Geographic Society, and from a variety of photographs the most colorful were chosen — revealing each of the parts of the world, and even the Arctic Circle.
