Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorsky

Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorsky (August 30, 1863 — September 27, 1944) — Russian photographer, chemist, inventor, publisher, teacher and public figure, member of the Imperial Russian Geographical, Imperial Russian Technical and Russian Photographic Societies. He made a significant contribution to the development of photography and cinematography. Pioneer of color photography in Russia, creator of the «Collection of the sights of the Russian Empire».
