Robert Kapa

Robert Kapa (October 22, 1913-May 26, 1954) — Hungarian pseudonym of the Jewish origin Endre Erne Friedman. Classic documentary photography. The founder of military photojournalist. One of the five founders of the world’s first photo agency «Magnum Photos».

 He was awarded the title «The greatest military photographer of the world.» Robert filmed the most important wars of the 20th century: Civil War in Spain 1936-1939, Chinese resistance to the Japanese invasion of 1938, the European Theater of the Second World War 1941-1945, the first Arab-Israeli war of 1948, the Vietnamese war of 1954. As a true military photographer, he died on the battlefield, arriving for mine.
