Leica has teamed up with singer Seal to release a limited edition Q2 camera. It’s still the same cool camera with a 28mm prime. The Leica Q2 «Dawn» camera from Seal has a black Leica logo, an autograph of the musician on the rear screen, and a model number from 001 to 500.
This was made possible thanks to the fabric produced by the Japanese brand Hosoo, which served as the basis for thesunrise colorway. The innovative production process of the fabric consists in the creation of a canvas consisting of 93% black polyester threads and 7% gold-colored Japanese rice paper. This is done so that each of the 500 cameras released in this series is completely unique and one of a kind.
In the box, buyers will find a signature Leica strap engraved with the handwritten quote «You become the light on the dark side of me» from Kiss from a Rose.
Also included is a scarf. It was created under the New York brand Rag & Bone, the artist Annina Röscheizen worked on the design, and the scarf itself was sewn in Italy.
On the back of the camera, above the screen, a serial number will be engraved, and below it, Sil’s signature.
Seal’s limited-edition Leica Q2 «Dawn» retailed for $5,995.
