Laowa 10mm f/4: The widest angle lens of APS-C cameras

Venus Optics introduced the lens «pancake» Laowa 10mm F/4 Cookie. This lens was specially designed for mirrorless cameras of the APS-C format. The Laowa 10mm f/4 Cookie lens is the most wide-angle (according to the manufacturer Venus Optics) manual lens with a viewing angle of 109.3 degrees. The lens is very compact and lightweight. Its length is only 25 mm, and its weight is 130 grams. Laowa 10mm F/4 Cookie is available for a wide range of bayonet mounts: Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E, Leica L, Fujifilm X. According to the manufacturer, the novelty is ideal for street, landscape and everyday shooting.

The Laowa 10mm f/4 Cookie lens has 12 elements in an 8-group optical structure with 2 aspherical and 4 elements with ultra-low dispersion. The aperture consists of 5 lobes and allows you to adjust the relative aperture in the range from F/4 to F/22. The minimum focusing distance is 10 cm, which allows you to get as close to the objects as possible and create interesting wide-angle macro images with a good separation of the object and background. Despite the lightweight and compact design, the lens managed to provide high image quality and contrast. The Laowa 10mm F/4 Cookie lens is currently available for purchase on the official Venus Optics website for $299.
