From April 3 to May 13, a personal exhibition of I. Pukhaev’s photographic works entitled “Breath of Mountains” was held in the hall of the National Scientific Library of RSO-A. The works presented at the exhibition reflected the photographer’s special “perspective” on the natural beauty of North Ossetia.
The exhibition was opened by Honored Art Worker of the Republic Zara Tembolatovna Gazdanova. As she noted, a personal exhibition is a good start for a photographer. At the same time, urging to continue to follow his course in creativity, Z.T. Gazdanova also wished the author to listen to the comments and wishes of more experienced colleagues.

Ilya Pukhaev’s work was warmly praised by his friends and colleagues. Vladimir Mayorov, a well-known surgeon and professional photographer in the republic, congratulated Ilya Pukhaev on the opening of the vernissage and wished him to capture new beautiful places of “wild nature” in Ossetia, to choose interesting angles, to present his vision, different from others. Andrey Yudin, a teacher of photography, noted that the works presented at the exhibition show the view of life of a person who has something to say to people and something to share with the audience. And photographer Michel Gastanty wished I. Pukhaev creative success and new vernissages. Nina Mazitova, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic, head of the innovation and methodological department of the scientific library, thanked the author for the wonderful pictures presented at the exhibition.
In his response, Ilya Pukhaev expressed his gratitude to art historian Z.T. Gazdanova, who gave him a kind of “ticket to life”. He also expressed gratitude to the library staff for their help in preparing and holding the vernissage. Ilya also expressed his hope that his works would encourage people to go to the mountains and see with their own eyes the incredible beauty that no photo or picture can convey.
The exhibition was viewed by a large number of people, including artists, musicians, photographers, poets, guests of the republic and citizens.
